SKS's wide range provides our engineers with a broad selection of components, so they can offer you the best solution. Recently, they worked on a great project that required calculations for a high flow rate application.

The pump is at the heart of a process. In this example, the pumps were running 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. As you can imagine, reliability and efficiency were high on the list of requirements for the pumps. With a flow rate of 245 m3/h, the number of suitable sanitary pumps is limited and often only large industrial-type pumps are available.

Where others top, SKS continues

• Option 1: 2 centrifugal pumps in parallel set-up, in this case with a 69% efficiency and a total power consumption of approx. 29.0 kW 
• Option 2: 1 high-capacity centrifugal pump, in this case with an 81% efficiency and a total power consumption of only approx. 25.1 kW

Based on an expected economic life of 10 years, this will result in a more than € 45,000 saving. In addition to a financial saving, we also provided an environmentally sound option which saves nearly 25,000 kg CO2 emissions. Knowing that the costs of an additional investment could be recovered in less than six months, it was easy for the customer to choose the Inoxpa DIN-Food high-capacity centrifugal pump.
